4-Volt Replacement Battery for the On-Call Device
The error message "On call Service required" in most cases means that the small battery for the on-call system has become bad, these normally have a lifespan of about 10 years.
At Volvo, a battery replacement currently costs about 4600 SEK, so this aftermarket battery is a much better solution for those who don't mind tinkering a bit themselves at a fraction of the price.
Important information about the item:
- When the battery is replaced, a battery change needs to be registered in the phone module to clear the message, this can be done with most sensible fault code readers on the market.
- There are several different variants of the VOC battery, only Volvo can say for sure which battery fits your car, alternatively you can take out your battery and check if the stated voltage is correct. If you need a 3V battery instead, it can be purchased here.
Only authorized Volvo dealers can see which battery your car should have. If you don't want to contact Volvo, you need to take out your original battery and check if it says 4V on it. If so, it is about the same size as a regular AA battery. If this is correct, then this is the right battery for your car.
