Has your Volvo started displaying warnings related to the diesel particulate filter (DPF), triggered the check engine light, or shown diagnostic trouble codes related to exhaust pressure?
A faulty differential pressure sensor (DPF sensor) can cause problems with monitoring and regeneration of the diesel particulate filter.
This differential pressure sensor from Wagner is designed to replace a faulty original sensor and restore accurate pressure measurements in the exhaust system.
The sensor measures the pressure difference across the diesel particulate filter and sends this information to the Engine Control Module (ECM). This data is used to monitor the filter's soot load and control the regeneration process.
The Wagner PRS00052 replaces several Volvo OE part numbers and is compatible with a wide range of diesel-powered Volvo models equipped with a particulate filter, including 31293659, 31370160 and 31697984.
Common Symptoms of a Faulty Differential Pressure Sensor
- Check engine light or warning messages.
- Diagnostic trouble codes related to exhaust pressure or the diesel particulate filter.
- Problems with DPF regeneration.
- Reduced engine performance or limited engine power.
- Incorrect pressure readings when using diagnostic equipment.
Please note that these symptoms can also be caused by other issues, such as clogged pressure hoses or a blocked diesel particulate filter.

IMPORTANT! Compatibility with these models varies depending on the engine code, model year and equipment. Always check the original part number on your existing sensor before ordering.
Important Information Before Ordering
Volvo uses several different types of differential pressure sensors depending on the engine, model year and chassis number.
Always make sure that the original part number and connector on your existing sensor match the replacement part before ordering.
Please also note that diagnostic trouble codes related to the diesel particulate filter do not necessarily indicate a faulty differential pressure sensor. We recommend checking the sensor and its associated pressure hoses using suitable diagnostic equipment before replacement.
