Are you getting the error message "On Call Service required" ? It is often the backup battery in the VCM module that has lost capacity - especially common in newer Volvo models.
This 8-volt battery with increased capacity is an excellent alternative to expensive workshop visits – perfect for those who are used to tinkering themselves and want to save both time and money.

The battery is mounted in the VCM (Vehicle Communication Module).
Common location in the car:
• 5-seat models: Usually under the luggage compartment floor, just below the center rear seatback
• 7-seat models: Usually behind the interior plastic on the right side in the luggage compartment
When the battery is replaced, the software in the VCM module also needs to be updated . This can be done at a Volvo workshop or by someone with the right diagnostic equipment (Äkta Vida).
