The battery is mounted in the VCM (Vehicle Communication Module).
Common location in the car:
• 5-seat models: Usually under the luggage compartment floor, just below the center rear seatback
• 7-seat models: Usually behind the interior plastic on the right side in the luggage compartment
When the battery is replaced, the software in the VCM module also needs to be updated. This can be done at a Volvo workshop or by someone with the right diagnostic equipment (Real Vida).
