Fiber optic MOST cables – for retrofitting & modification in Volvo
A must for those who rebuild, upgrade or retrofit original or aftermarket equipment in Volvo cars with MOST systems.
Loop cable (closure of the system)
The MOST system requires a closed fiber network. If the system is interrupted – for example by disconnecting an original component such as a subwoofer – the entire infotainment system can stop working and multiple fault codes can be registered.
To avoid this, a loop is used, which re-closes the system and makes it stable again. Common during upgrades such as IAM → IHU or dismantling of audio components.
Y-splits (for extra connections)
Used when you want to connect additional components to the system – such as a retrofitted MOST decoder, audio processor or when integrating certain original parts. Perfect for both OEM and aftermarket solutions.
If you accidentally start the system with a MOST cable disconnected, you will need to clear the stored fault codes before all systems will work as intended again. This can be easily done with our Super J2534 reader combined with the free version of Vdash.
