Does your fuel filler flap fly open and slam shut when you make a sharp turn, like at a roundabout? The plastic in the hinge has probably broken, causing the spring to come loose.
Your old hinge is mounted on the car with 4x clips, press hard with a small chisel in the middle of these to dismantle the hinge, hold the cover itself so you don't drop it on the ground, then attach this new hinge with the included screw.
