Are you getting the message "Alarm system service required" in your Volvo? In most cases, it is because the backup battery in the alarm siren has lost capacity - a fault that is becoming common on these models.
This replacement battery is compatible with the siren in the Volvo V50 and S40 from 2004–2012, and is an affordable alternative to replacing the entire unit.
The battery connector is manufactured to original specifications. Since it is molded in plastic, it may in some cases need to be adjusted slightly (e.g. filed down) for a perfect fit.
After the replacement is made, you may need to erase the old fault codes that the car has stored, this can be easily done with our Super J2534 fault code reader together with the free version of Vdash.
! If your old battery has leaked acid – clean the circuit board thoroughly and check for damage. Do not install a new battery in a siren with a corroded circuit board.
