2.4-Volt Replacement battery for the alarm Siren in Volvo's P3 models (See below).

Replacing the entire siren costs about SEK 3,000 + labor, so this is a much better option for you who are comfortable doing a bit of tinkering yourself.

The error message "Alarm system service required" means in most cases that the small battery for the siren has gone bad.

As the contact piece is molded plastic, it may sometimes be necessary to file down the edges a few millimeters in order for it to fit into the contact on the siren's circuit board.
