Are you getting the error message "Alarm system service required" ? In most cases, it is the backup battery in the alarm siren that has lost capacity - a common error after several years of use.
The connector is manufactured to original specifications, but as it is plastic molded, slight adjustment (e.g. careful filing) may be required in some cases for a perfect fit.
• If your old battery has leaked acid – clean the siren circuit board thoroughly and check that it is undamaged before installing the new battery
If the error message does not go away automatically after the replacement, the error codes may need to be erased, this can easily be done with our Super J2534 Error Code Reader together with the free version of Vdash.
