Instructions for Blinker modules

What you'll need:

* Torx 25 Driver
* Disassembly tool / Plastic pry bar
* Simple Multimeter

On models with short and thick mirror indicators, the bulbs needs to be replaced with orange Non-Canbus LED bulbs, you can buy them here.

INSTRUCTIONS

Driver side (LHD):

1. Loosen the two T25 screws behind the inner handle that secure the door panel.

2. Snap off and disconnect the tweeter using a plastic prying tool.

3. Insert the prying tool at the bottom edge of the doorcard and pry outward until the doorcard comes loose.
Don’t be afraid to use some force.

4. Disconnect the wire and all connectors and remove the doorcard completely.

5. Check that the purple wire (pin 4) on the green 6-pin connector has 12 volts when ignition position 2 is activated.
*If the wire does not have 12V, trace which wire controls the door panel lighting using a multimeter.
**If the car is equipped with illuminated inner handles, use the blue/red wire connected to that lighting.

6. Take out the module and connect one of its wires to pin 4 (purple) from behind,
or alternatively to the blue/red wire for the handle lighting, if applicable.

7. Locate the large green connector leading to the side mirror and connect the module's second wire to the blue/black wire from above.

8. Turn on ignition mode 2 and make sure that it works.

9. Secure the modules cables neatly with straps and reinstall the doorcard.


PASSENGER SIDE (LHD):

1. Remove the door panel in the same way as you removed the previous one.

2. Check that the yellow wire (pin 1) on the blue connector has 12 volts when ignition position 2 is activated.
*If the wire does not have 12V, trace which wire controls the door panel lighting using a multimeter.
**If the car is equipped with illuminated inner handles, use the blue/red wire connected to that lighting.

4. Connect one of the modules cables to pin 1 (yellow) from behind,
or alternatively to the blue/red wire for the handle lighting.

5. Locate the large green connector leading to the side mirror and connect the module's second cable to the blue/black wire from above.

6. Turn on ignition mode 2 and make sure that it works.

7. Secure the modules cables neatly with straps and reinstall the doorcard.
