Instructions for
Taillight Module
What you'll need:
- Disassembly tool / Plastic pry bar
- 8mm socket on ratchet shaft
Step 1
Remove the ceiling light in the trunk and remove the screw hidden behind it, then pull down the large plastic cover so that all clips come loose.
Step 2
Find the large gray connector and disconnect it.
If you have an electric tailgate, it is the left connector you should disconnect
Step 3
In the inner part of the connector (Female), find the Yellow/Purple cable (pin 9) and connect one cable from the module to it.
Then find the Grey/Brown cable (pin 3) and connect the other cable from the module to it.
Some cars have two grey/brown cables in this connector, see the picture for reference.
Step 4
Use the Zip-ties to strap the module's cables together with the two cables that were originally in the connector so that they cannot come loose.
Step 5
Reassemble the connector and check that the position lights have been extended. If it looks good, reassemble everything in reverse order.
