Instructions for Taillight Module

What you'll need:

• Disassembly tool / Plastic pry bar

• 8mm socket on ratchet shaft

Step 1

Use a pry bar to pry out and remove the roof light in the trunk.

Step 2

Unscrew the 8mm screw under the lamphouse and pull the large plastic cover downwards so that all clips come loose .

Step 3

Locate the large gray connector and disconnect it.


• If you have an electric tailgate, it's the left gray connector you should disconnect (the one that is more towards the driver's side on a LHD car)

Step 4

In the inner part of the connector (Female), find the Yellow/Purple cable (pin 9) and connect one cable from the module to it.

Then find the Gray/Brown cable (pin 3) and connect the other cable from the module to it.

• Some cars have two grey/brown cables in this connector, see the picture for reference.

Step 5

Use the Zip-ties to strap the module's cables together with the two cables that were originally in the connector so that they cannot come loose.

Step 6

Reassemble the connector and check that the position light has been extended.

If everything looks good, reassemble everything in reverse order.
