Instructions for Blinker modules
What you'll need:
* Torx 25 Driver
* Disassembly tool / Plastic pry bar
* Simple Multimeter
On models with short and thick mirror indicators, the bulb needs to be replaced with an orange Non-Canbus LED bulb, you can buy them here .
INSTRUCTIONS
Driver side (LHD):
1. Unscrew the two T25 screws behind the interior grab handle on the door card.
2. "Unclick" and disconnect the tweeter using a plastic pry bar.
3. Place the pry bar at the bottom inner edge of the door card and break outwards until the door card comes loose.
Use a firm grip, they usually sit very hard.
4. Disconnect all the connectors and the wire so that you can remove the door card.
5. Check that the Purple wire (pin 4) on the Green 6-pin connector has 12 volts when ignition mode 2 is activated.
*Should the cable not have 12v, you have to measure yourself to find which cable controls the door side lighting.
**If the car is equipped with illuminated interior handles, then use the blue/red cable that goes to that lighting.
6. Take out the module and push one cable together with pin 4 (Purple) from the back.
Alternatively together with blue/red cable for possible handle lighting.
7. Locate the large green connector that goes out to the rearview mirror and push in the module's other cable together with the blue/black cable from above.
8. Check that it works.
9. Strap everything together nice and neat and reassemble the door side.
PASSENGER SIDE:
1. Remove the door side in the same way as you removed the previous one.
2 . Check that yellow cable (pin 1) on the blue connector has 12v when ignition mode 2 is activated.
*Should the cable not have 12v, you have to measure yourself to find which cable controls the door side lighting.
**If the car is equipped with illuminated interior handles, then use the blue/red cable that goes to that lighting.
3. Take out the module and push in one cable together with pin 1 (Yellow) from the back.
Alternatively together with blue/red cable for the handle lighting.
4. Locate the large green connector that goes out to the rearview mirror and push in the module's other cable together with the blue/black cable from above.
5. Check that it works and
6. Strap everything together nice and neat and reassemble the door side.
