Instructions for
Rear light module
What you need:
- Dismantling tool / Plastic pick
- 8mm Socket on ratchet shaft
Step 1
Remove the ceiling light from the trunk and loosen the screw hidden behind it, then pull down the large plastic cover so that all the clips come loose.
Step 2
Locate the large gray connector and separate it.
If you have an electric tailgate, it is the left connector you should disconnect.
(That is, the one that is more on the driver's side)
Step 3
In the inner part of the connector (Female), find the Yellow/Purple cable (pin 9) and connect one of the cables from the module to it.
Then find the Gray/Brown cable (pin 3) and connect the other cable from the module to it.
Some cars have two grey/brown cables in this connector, see the picture for reference.
Step 4
Strap the module's cables together with the two cables that were originally in the connector holes so that they cannot come loose.
Step 5
Reassemble the connector and check that the position light has been extended.
If everything looks good, reassemble everything in reverse order.
